Proximity coats come with a two-piece sleeve and, for comfort and durability, you’ll find non-reflective materials used as standard in the following areas:

  • Collar Innermost Layer – Pbi™/Kevlar® Standard

  • Chinstrap Innermost Layer – Pbi™/Kevlar® Standard

  • Coat and Pant Cuffs – Pbi™/Kevlar® Standard

  • Coat Storm Flap Innermost Layer – Black Nomex®

  • Coat Inner Front Facings – Match the Garment liner

  • Pant Fly Inner Lining – Match the Garment Liner

Available Coat and Pant Closure Systems:

  • Zipper / hook and loop

  • Hooks and D-ring outside flap / hook and loop (standard coat closure: optional FDNY coat closure available)

VIPER Proximity Gear is designed to provide added protection from high levels of radiant heat associated with flammable liquid fires. Its unique ergonomic design combines the advanced VIPER fit, maximized protection, comfort and mobility.
